Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

In plain terms: we do not track you. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone. Everything you enter stays in the app and in your own private database. That's it.

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account or using TipTally, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy below. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. What TipTally Is

TipTally is a personal tool for logging cash tips, card tips, wages, and other income, and for reviewing and exporting that record. It is not a bank, a payment processor, or a financial, tax, or legal adviser, and nothing in the app should be treated as advice of that kind.

3. Your Account

You're responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You must be old enough, under the laws of your country, to agree to these terms on your own behalf.

4. Acceptable Use

Use TipTally only for its intended purpose. Don't try to break, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service, and don't use it for anything unlawful.

5. No Warranty

TipTally is provided "as is." We work to keep it accurate and reliable, but we don't guarantee the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we're not liable for decisions you make based on the numbers it shows you. Always keep your own records for tax or legal purposes.

6. Changes

We may update these Terms or the app itself from time to time. Continuing to use TipTally after a change means you accept the update.

Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account info from your chosen sign-in method (Google or email) — your email address and, if provided, your display name. And app data you enter yourself — pay entries, categories, currency, language, and notification preference.

2. How We Use It

Solely to run the app for you: to sign you in, sync your entries across your own devices, and show you your own totals and history. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not run analytics or tracking on your usage, and we do not build any kind of profile from it.

3. Who We Share It With

No one. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. Your data is stored on Firebase (Google Cloud) purely as the hosting/database infrastructure that runs the app — the same way any app needs a server somewhere. It is not shared with Google, or anyone else, for their own purposes.

4. Security

Your data is protected by account authentication and server-side security rules that only allow you to read or write your own data — no other user, including us, can browse it.

5. Your Control

You can edit or delete any entry within 24 hours of creating it, and delete a category at any time. You can sign out at any time. You can also request full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time — see how to request account deletion.

6. Children

TipTally is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under the age required to hold a job in their country.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the "last updated" date above.
